LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- A fight over a golf cart key on an exclusive island resort ended in an arrest after the resort's CEO says he was punched.

Lee County deputies say 20-year-old Brandon O’Donoghue was charged with Battery Sunday night.

They say it started when two teenage girls were riding a rental golf cart on Useppa Island, a luxury island resort located between Pine Island and Cayo Costa. The girls were reportedly driving recklessly and crashed the cart onto landscape rocks.

The girls were approached by 68-year-old Timothy Fitzsimmons, the CEO of the resort who manages the rental carts, who took away the key.

That's when O’Donoghue and 18-year-old Tanner Reidel approached Fitzsimmons to see what was going on, and all three got into a physical altercation, during which Fitzsimmons was punched in the face.

O'Donoghue was arrested and charged with Battery on a Person 65 or Older.
