LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Investigators with the Lee County Sheriff's Office say a death investigation earlier this week was a murder-suicide and that family pets were also victims.
The investigation started Monday afternoon at the Channelside Apartments on Ballast Point Drive.
That's where the body of 38-year-old Breanna Perez was found shot and killed, along with three dogs in the house that were also shot and killed.
Friday, the sheriff's office confirmed that another deceased person has been identified as her husband, 46-year-old John Perez.
Detectives say John apparently shot and killed his wife.
The case is still under investigation, and detective continue to work the case.
