Trio of women sought in recent clothing thefts in Lee County

Posted

LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Investigators are hoping to identify a group of women they say have been stuffing merchandise in bags at local clothing stores and leaving without paying for them.

Surveillance images of the three women are seen here.

According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, the females have been known to enter the stores toting large bags.  While perusing the businesses, they’ve been caught on camera stuffing various clothing items into their bags and walking out of the store without paying for the goods.  In some cases, the women take special note of the locations of surveillance cameras and avoid them altogether – and the thefts aren’t detected until inventory is done at a later time.

Two of the most recent thefts have occurred at the Old Navy store at Page Field Commons on U.S. 41 and at Victoria’s Secret at the Bell Tower on South U.S. 41.

Anyone with information on the identities and whereabouts of the women is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip on the P3Tips mobile app.
