FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A high schooler in Lee County was arrested on her prom night for hitting her mother in the face.
According to Deputies, on Saturday evening, 18-year-old Tia Gordon got upset with her mother for using hairspray on her while getting ready for prom. This is when Gordon hit her mother's face and scratched her arm, then left to go to the prom.
Police called Gordon, instructing here to come home and talk to them, that's when they arrested her on a Battery charge.
She has since been released from jail.
