PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- An investigation into a Port Charlotte home Friday morning resulted in a SWAT standoff outside a home on Glendale Avenue.
The stand-off is over now, but it all started when deputies attempted to make an arrest in a drug case in the 21000 block of Glendale Avenue, just off Elkcam Boulevard, on Friday morning.
The suspect they were trying to arrest then barricaded himself inside.
Authorities threw tear gas into the home, and two people came out quickly. A third person came out later.
