Suspect arrested for stealing phones during e-commerce sale

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- Investigators say they have arrested a woman for her part in the theft of two iPhones from a person selling them online.

18-year-old Datiki Taylor was arrested Thursday evening in DeSoto County after investigators from the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for her arrest.

The victim told investigators that they were selling two iPhones via the app "Letitgo", and were instructed by the buyer to meet at an address on Yucatan Circle in Port Charlotte.  However, when they arrived, a woman and man at that address snatched the phones and fled the scene.

Fingerprints from the scene connected Tyler to two other similar thefts from people on the "OfferUp" app.

There is no word about her potential companion in the crime.
