FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. -- Storms associated with Tropical Storm Emily caused some major damage at a beach resort in Fort Myers Beach Monday morning.

It happened at the Outrigger Beach Resort on Estero Boulevard.

A large section of the roof was blown off the building and was seen hanging  off the side of the building Monday.

There were no reports of injuries.

Resort management tells Fox 4 that all guests remained dry through the incident and that a roofing company quickly responded and cleaned up the site.  The tiki bar remains open at the resort.

Tropical Storm Emily formed very quickly overnight, catching many off guard across Southwest Florida.

Fox 4 reporter Malcolm Johnson will have more on this story tonight on Fox 4 News at 6.
