LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- We're getting videos from viewers across Southwest Florida who are dealing with the effects of flooding in their neighborhoods in interesting ways.  But officials warn residents to stay out of the water if possible.

Fox 4 viewer John Rinkenbaugh sent us video of South Fort Myers on Sunday showing the rain falling and water covering the community.

And Fox 4 viewer Jennifer Le sent us this video of the conditions in Estero on Sunday, where the flooding was so severe that people and dogs were kayaking on the street.

The flooding is forcing some to get creative in order to get around parts of Southwest Florida.  Video from viewer Barry Waddell shows two guys using a jet ski to get around near U.S. 41 across from the Forrest Country Club.

But while many of you are sending in photos playing and laying in the water, you never know what dangers could be hidden underneath.  The Cape Coral Police Department is warning people to avoid contact with the water, because it can have bacteria, parasites, insects, venomous reptiles and toxic chemicals in it.
