CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Some people in Cape Coral are going to battle against a developer who's planning to build homes on an old golf course.
Developer DR Horton recently bought the golf club property on Palm Tree Boulevard in Cape Coral. The land has been abandoned for more than a decade and the company is now planning to build single-family housing on this land.
But many residents are against the plan and will be holding a rally from 4:30-5:30 Tuesday afternoon on a lot near Century Link at 4001 Palm Tree Boulevard. That's where the group called Save Our Recreation will rally against the project.
