Cape Coral Police say a man walked into the Circle-K on Skyline Boulevard -- possibly armed -- demanding money.  Fox 4 spoke to a few neighbors who are worried about their safety.

"It's getting too close to home, that's home", that's how people living near the Circle K gas station on Skyline Boulevard in Cape Coral described the most recent robbery.

Cape Coral police say a man pointed what looked like a gun inside a trash bag at the store clerk and demanded money. It's at least the second robbery at the convenience store in the last three months.

Local man Dave Daugherty says his friends who live here don't feel safe in the area anymore.  "My friend's mother, I don't wanna say any names, she said she never used to lock her door and now she's locking them", he told Fox 4.

In July Cape Coral Police say another man robbed the same convenience store back in July. The suspect grabbed a clerk by the neck and dragged her into the store. He then demanded money from the registered and ran off.

Safety is a growing concern not just for neighbors in the area, but for the employees at the Circle K.

Customer Leon Sabutis expressed concern for the employees who typically work alone.  "There's only one person in their all the time it seems, so they don;t have enough employees to safeguard themselves or protect themselves", he told Fox 4.

Neighbors are encouraged to keep an eye out and contact Cape Coral Police at 239-574-3223 with any information.
