COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- Troopers have identified a man they believe hit and killed at 71-year-old woman and fled the scene in November.
Florida Highway Patrol says they are looking for 29-year-old Apolinar Vasquez. He is approximately 5'6" to 5'8" tall, with a dark complexion. He is "known to frequent the fresh market area," according to troopers.
The incident in question happened November 27, 2018 on Lake Trafford Road near Krystal Lane in Immokalee.
Troopers say a driver hit 71-year-old Marita Gonzalez, who was walking in the eastbound lane. The Mercury sedan then fled the scene, but was later located and impounded from a nearby address.
