LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- An unusual sight this time of year: crews with the Florida forest service battled a small brush fire in San Carlos Park.
It sparked Thursday afternoon at the corner of Lazy Creek Boulevard and South Tamiami Trail.
Crews say the fire only burned about half an acre and it was fairly easy to contain.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Southwest Florida typically sees fewer brush fire this time of year, because of the rain.
