NAPLES, Fla. -- We're getting new information this morning on a deadly crash Wednesday night on I-75 in Collier County.
Florida Highway Patrol says it happened in the southbound lanes at mile marker 102, just before the exit to Collier Boulevard.
Troopers say a Hyundai rear ended a Kia SUV just before 6 p.m. The collision caused the Kia to flip over and landed in the median.
The Kia’s driver, a 50-year-old woman from Fort Lauderdale, died in the crash. Two passengers in the Kia are in the hospital with serious injuries. They have been identified as 49-year-old Alicia Ferguson of Davie and 40-year-old Karma Talomerna of Hallendale Beach.
Three people in the Hyundai had minor injuries.
FHP says charges may be filed pending the outcome of their investigation.
