GOLDEN GATE, Fla. -- The Collier County Sheriff's Office has released a sketch of a suspect in an attempted abduction in Golden Gate Monday.
Detectives say the suspect is Hispanic, in his 50s, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 180 pounds with salt and pepper hair and brown eyes. At the time of the incident he was wearing jean, a black button up andd a black and white plaid shirt.
Detectives say the man approached the boy near a church where he and his family were taking pictures. The man took the boy by the hand and tried to lead him away.
A family friend saw this happen and stopped the man from taking the boy.
