A 38-year-old Naples woman was killed in a crash that happened overnight on I-75, Florida Highway Patrol said.

It happened at approximately 2:09 a.m. on Saturday near mile marker 127, around the Alico Road exit.

While traveling southbound in the outside lane, Janine Lewis failed to see a semi tractor being towed in front of her and crashed into it.

The 2001 Volvo carrying the towed vehicle was traveling slower than the suggested speed limit, FHP said.

According to FHP, speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.

Lewis was not wearing a seatbelt during the time of the crash.
