Naples-based medical device company to expand into South Carolina

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- Naples-based company Arthrex has announced it will begin construction next year on a $30 million facility in South Carolina; its fourth such facility in the U.S.

The 200,000 square foot state of the art manufacturing facility will be built in Anderson, South Carolina, just southwest of Greenville.

The construction of the Anderson facility will not affect operations or employees in Southwest Florida or California, but company officials say Arthrex is committed to its future growth in Southwest Florida, including a significant expansion project at its corporate headquarters in North Naples scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2018.

The Anderson facility is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2019.

The company currently has facilities in Ave Maria; Santa Barbara, California; and City of Industry, California.

Arthrex, a global medical device company and leader in new product development and medical education in orthopaedics, has been based in Naples since 1991.
