FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The Lee County Department of Transportation is trying to figure out what to do with the millions of dollars in toll money that's just sitting in the bank.

The county says there's a $37 million surplus.

In the last 18 months, drivers have spent more than $83 million on tolls at the Cape Coral and Midpoint bridges.

The Transportation Advisory Commission is now considering using that money to fund various projects across the county.
