Man killed in overnight shooting

A man was shot and killed early Sunday morning, the Fort Myers Police Department said.

Police responded to a report of gunfire at approximately 12:30 a.m. at 3225 South Street in Fort Myers.

When they arrived, officers located the victim as Theodore Bell. Bell was suffering from a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene, Lee County EMS said.

Investigators are now conducting a homicide investigation.
