FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A $4 million makeover is underway at Edison Mall.  The Washington Prime Group, which owns the enclosed mall, told Four In Your Corner the changes are based on recommendations from shoppers.

"It's really listening to feedback from our shoppers and improving the experience for our guests," said Kim Green, Vice President, Investor Relationships & Corporate Communications.

The renovations are scheduled for completion around October, ahead of the holiday shopping rush. Green told Four In Your Corner new retailers will be added to mall, and a few older stores will be relocated to renovated spaces.

A cut-through will also be added near the entrance of the women's Macy's.

Shoppers told Four In Your Corner the revitalization plan is a step in the right direction for the mall.
