The Sanibel mayor will meet with other local city councils Monday to try and stop the Lake Okeechobee water releases from depositing polluted water into the Caloosahatchee River.

He wants all six Lee County mayors to join together to find a solution to stop the water releases.

On Monday he'll meet with the Fort Myers Beach Town Council at 9:00 in the morning. Then he'll head to Cape Coral to speak to city council at city hall. That meeting will be held at 4:30 on Monday afternoon.
