LEHIGH ACRES, Fla., - A multi-agency operation led to the arrest of Alejo Guerrero, 36, of Lehigh Acres early Friday morning.
Members of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms with the assistance of the Special Operations Unit and East District Patrol served a search warrant to Guerrero’s home on Pinafore Avenue around 5 am.
Neighbors say the suspect didn't willingly surrender to deputies, so a forced entry was made.
Guerrero is now facing federal drug related and weapons charges after detectives uncovered more than 2 ounces of cocaine, 3 handguns, an AK-47, and a bulletproof vest.
A documented Latin King member, Law Enforcement says Guerrero is a familiar face with a rap sheet of more than 20 prior arrests.
A neighbor tells 4 In Your Corner they never noticed anything suspicious.
Guerrero was on state probation when the arrest was made.
