NORTH PORT, Fla. -- The Florida Highway Patrol says 21-year-old William Smith pointed a 12-gauge shotgun at another car during a road rage incident.
Troopers say it happened at 2:34 p.m. Thursday afternoon while he was driving southbound on I-75 near mile marker 194.
Smith then pulled off the interstate at Sumter Boulevard, and with the help of North Port Police, FHP says they were able to stop him at the corner of Sumter Boulevard and Price Boulevard.
Smith is now facing two counts of aggravated assault.
