As summer gets closer some Southwest Floridian's are reconsidering their European vacations.
"I would go on my own, but I would never bring my significant other with me," said Ken Nerback of Ft. Myers.
This week the State Department issued a travel advisory until September for anyone traveling to Europe, after terrorist attacks in Britain, France and Sweden.
"I didn't even know until you told me," said Kathy Cravens. "That's shocking to me because Europe is always somewhere Americans go."
But Nerback says anytime you travel to any part of the world, you put yourself at risk.
"It's part of the environment we live in, there's always a fear factor."
If you do plan on traveling to Europe the State Department recommends checking with the U.S. Embassy in the country you are going to. You should also let family and friends back home know where you are and how long you will be gone.
