NAPLES, Fla. -- A driver has been cited for a crash involving a Collier County deputy Monday night.
Florida Highway Patrol says the driver of the other car was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
It happened shortly after 11 p.m. Monday night at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Seminole Avenue.
An FHP report says 18-year-old Dominick Cornacchia hit the deputy's car while turning onto Seminole Avenue from northbound U.S. 41.
The report says the deputy was headed south on U.S. 41 and did not have emergency equipment active.
Both Cornacchia and the deputy sustained minor injuries and were treated at Naples Community Hospital.
U.S. 41 was closed for several hours overnight while troopers investigated.
