LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- What a difference a week makes!  It wasn't that long ago that we were worried about drought conditions causing fire danger across the state.  But those worries are over.

Heavy rains all across Florida this week have been putting a damper on the dry conditions.

Take a look at the official Florida Forest Service maps showing the fire dangers on June 1st and on June 8th.  With the exception of Martin County on the east coast, the entire state has been downgraded to "low" fire danger.

As a result, the burn bans that have been in place in recent months are starting to be lifted.

Collier County lifted their burn ban Tuesday, as did the City of Cape Coral.

The Matlacha/Pine Island Fire Control District lifted their burn ban Thursday.

Expect more to end as the week continues.
