Six years have passed for one Fort Myers family as they try to understand who would want to kill brother and friend, Muhammad Ali.

In September 2011, just before closing time, a night of hard work ended in gunfire, as two masked men swarmed into the Back Bay Market on Ortiz Avenue in Fort Myers. They stole just a small amount of money, but left Muhammad Ali dead.

Detectives say two men wearing masks Halloween masks barged into the store in the early morning hours. Within a minute, they broke into a change machine and aimed fire at Ali, leaving him clinging for life.

Trish Routte with Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers urges anyone with information to come forward and help close the cold case. If you know anything, call Crime Stoppers 1-800-780-TIPS.
