LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. -- Drivers on State Road 82 were being detoured around a 3-vehicle crash with injuries Wednesday morning.
The chain-reaction crash happened around 6 a.m. on S.R. 82 just west of Sunshine Boulevard.
The crash had caused road closures in both directions for a time, but all lanes are open again.
Troopers say a westbound car had stopped in the road due to other stopped vehicles ahead, when a small SUV failed to see the car was stopped and hit the rear of the car. Another SUV then slammed into the first SUV and pushed it forward into the car again.
Two drivers suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
