Cape Coral man arrested for double robbery

A Cape Coral man accused of committing two robberies in one night was arrested on Thursday, the Cape Coral Police Department said.

Robert Lambertson, 44, of Cape Coral is accused of robbing a 7-Eleven gas station in Cape Coral and hours later, a Perkins Restaurant in Fort Myers on September 29.

The store clerk at 7-Eleven told police that Lambertson approached him with a gun and demanded money. After taking off the suspect targeted a Perkins Restaurant where he attempted to steal a tip jar.

He faces Robbery with a Firearm charges.
