CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- An 18-year-old Cape Coral resident was arrested over the weekend after showing off a handgun in a local McDonald's restaurant.
Alex Paz is charged with Carrying a Concealed Firearm, Battery LEO, Resisting LEO, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of Controlled Substance.
According to Cape Coral Police, around 2 a.m. Sunday, Paz was in the restaurant on Pine Island Road near Santa Barbara Boulevard when surveillance video shows Paz lifting his shirt repeatedly to display the firearm he had tucked in the front of his waistband.
Officers approached Paz and found him in possession of a .32 caliber handgun.
Paz became disruptive when officers attempted to arrest him, kicking an officer in the process. Paz was pepper sprayed and placed in a patrol vehicle.
Paz was later found to be in possession of cocaine and Xanax.
