ESTERO, Fla. -- Lee County Deputies are investigating a rash of car burglars in the Timberwalk Community in Estero, Monday.
A total of 10 vehicles were broken into overnight, Saturday. Incident reports indicate a magazine for a gun was stolen, along with 17 bullets.
Another resident reports her pocket knife was stolen, and the burglar uncovered her car's fuse box. "I did have a picket knife that was kept in my glove compartment, and they did take that. Luckily, I don't keep any money in there," said the car owner. "My fuse box was popped out here on the floor, so all [these] wires were on the floor. I don't know if they did anything to my car, but I will have to get that checked out."
Anyone with information on the identity of the person behind these car break-ins is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
