CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- A Southwest Florida brewery has come up with a beer to help Cape Coral's official bird–– the burrowing owl.
Big Storm Brewing Company will donate a portion of sales from their Kentucky Common Burrowing Owl beer to Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife.
The organization said they will use the money to purchase land which will give the birds a safe place to live.
Big Storm Brewing Company said their Cape Coral location along Miramar Street is next to a nest. This made their choice to support the birds was an obvious choice.
