CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- Allegiant Travel has plants to build a waterfront resort in Charlotte County.

The company will partner with Sunseeker Resorts to build a 20-acre resort complex along the Peace River and Charlotte Harbor.

Developers say the complex will feature a resort hotel and up to nine condominium towers, in addition to an array of restaurant, bar and retail concepts - including an on-site grocery store and pharmacy, a marina and a property-spanning resort pool designed to be the largest in North America.

Buyers will have the option to purchase 1, 2, and 3-bedroom condominiums, and will have the opportunity to place their condos in a resort rental program.

Allegiant travel wants to have the resort finished by 2019.
