A Lehigh homeowner caught a burglar in the act when returning home Tuesday, now the search is on for the intruder.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of Macy Street.  Investigators say a man walked up to the home and rang the doorbell several times.  The victim's daughter was home at the time, but didn't answer the door.

Investigators say the man jumped the back fence and tried to get in through a kitchen window, but the homeowner arrived back home and the burglar ran away.

After a search, deputies were unable to locate the man.  However, there is surveillance of the intruder.  He is described as a white male, between 40 and 50 years old and driving a silver sedan.

Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of the burglar is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.
