LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- The man once considered one of Southwest Florida's most wanted fugitives is now headed to prison.
Friday morning, a Lee County jury found Wesnel Isaac guilty of kidnapping and murdering three men in Lehigh Acres back in 2007: Scott Highfill, Reid Graham, and Bobby Barckley.
The state argued that Isaac, who was reportedly the head of a Haitian gang, helped commit the murders because of a turf war over drugs. Isaac had fled the country, but was found in Haiti in 2014 and extradited.
His attorney claimed there was no reliable evidence linking Isaac to the crime, but the jury decided otherwise after deliberating less than 5 hours.
Isaac will be sentenced in February and faces life in prison.
Three other men have already been convicted in this case.
