An Immokalee man with gang ties is facing charges after he was caught hiding a baggie of marijuana in his mouth.

Deputies pulled over Leon Armstrong, 36, because of his window tint, and smelled marijuana coming from his car.

When a search of his car turned up nothing, a deputy noticed something moving around in Armstrong's mouth. He ordered him to spit it out, and Armstrong struggled before spitting out a blue baggie filled with pot.

The CollIer County Sheriff's Office also said Armstrong is a convicted felon with gang ties.

He's facing charges of marijuana possession and tampering with evidence.
