FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead at a RaceTrac in Fort Myers.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as 25-year-old Willie James Moore Jr.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning at the station located on S. Cleveland Avenue just south of Colonial Boulevard.

Police arrived at the scene after calls of a failed carjacking.

Moore's aunt, Dorothy Davis, told authorities that Moore called family on Friday night saying he was being chased. Moore had apparently gotten into an altercation with someone, which is believed to have resulted in his death, according to the report.

The cause of death remains unclear, and no arrest have been made.
