CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- Fire crews responded to a fire in a Punta Gorda home Tuesday morning which caused extensive damage.
According to Charlotte County Fire & EMS, crews were on the scene of the fire at 8:20 a.m. in the 12000 block of Green Gulf Boulevard in the Tropical Gulf Acres area of Punta Gorda.
The two-story wood-frame house was fully engulfed upon arrival.
The fire was placed under control shortly before 10am. Primary and secondary searches of the home found nobody inside.
The State Fire Marshal has been requested to investigate the fire.
