A 17-year-old girl was transported to the hospital after she fell off a boat on the Peace River and was pulled into the propeller.
Charlotte County Fire & EMS met the boat at Darst Park on Darst Avenue in Punta Gorda at 12:45 Sunday afternoon.
Officials say the girl was determined to be a trauma alert and a medical helicopter took her from Bayfront Punta Gorda and taken to Lee Memorial Hospital.
The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
