CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla.- A fundraiser was held on Friday night for 14-year-old Devin Federly, who was killed in a hit and run crash last week.
On Friday Feburary 26, the life of Devin Federly was cut short after he was killed by a car while riding his bike at the intersection of Sheehan Boulevard and Walton Avenue.
One week later, one of his friends set up a fundraiser at the Charlotte BMX Track to raise money to help cover funeral costs and remember Devin and what he loved to do best., biking.
The suspect in this case is still on the loose. Troopers say the person who killed Federly and left the scene was driving a silver Chevy Silverado. The truck is likely to have frontal damage.
