FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Troopers say a pedestrian was hit by two vehicles Sunday night as he walked on Daniels Parkway.

The crash happened just after 7pm on Daniels Parkway near Gateway Boulevard.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the man was walking on the westbound roadway when a van came upon him and was unable to avoid a collision. The man was hit and propelled onto the road.

That's when a car that was behind the van was also unable to avoid the pedestrian and struck him with the bottom of the car's bumper.

The man, who's identity has not been released yet, was pronounced dead at the scene.
