COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- The 3rd and 4th Florida panther deaths of 2017 have been discovered in Collier County over the last couple of days.

Monday morning, the remains of a dead 5-6 year old male panther were found along State Road 82 about half a mile east of Corkscrew Road.

This was the 4th panther death of the year and the 2nd vehicular death, following the death of a 3-month old panther on January 12th in Hendry County.

Wildlife officials also say the remains of an uncollared panther was found off DeSoto Boulevard in Golden Gate Estates on Thursday last week.  The cause of death is unconfirmed.

It was the 3rd death of 2017.
