NAPLES, Fla. -- The first commercial air flights from Naples are scheduled to take off later this month.
Elite Airways made the announcement Wednesday at Naples Municipal Airport.
Scheduled flights begin February 27th include non-stop flights to Newark, New Jersey on Saturdays; one-stop flights (via Vero Beach) to Newark on Thursdays and Sundays; and one stop flights (via Melbourne, Florida) to Portland, Maine on Mondays and Fridays.
Fares start at $169 each way and include the first checked bag for free, plus complimentary beverages and snacks. The airline will use its fleet of Bombardier CRJ-200 and CRJ-700 jet airliners on the new routes.
These are the first scheduled commercial flights to leave from Naples since 2007.
