FORT MYERS, Fla -- Florida Gulf Coast University head coach Joe Dooley and his team will look to take flight in Sunday's conference title game against Stetson with their NCAA tournaments hopes on the line.
Today's media presence didn't distract the players from their goals.
"If we don't take care of business on Sunday we are not gonna get there so that's our main focus right now. and well that's our only focus actually," said FGCU guard Christian Terrell.
The eagles soared, shocking top seeded University of North Florida onThursday night.
One senior telling me last night reminded him of their tournament run.
"We have to believe that we are gonna win and i feel like that's really important. That's the key to winning," said Filip Cvjeticanin
The key to winning lately has been their defense.
Coach Dooley was calm, cool and collected. He even gave a little scouting report for you casual basketball fans.
"I think we are very athletic for our league. I mean these guys are a bunch of meat and potato guys. I think we are better in rock fights than a beauty pageants," said Coach Dooley.
