A Collier County man is facing 100 counts of possession of child pornography.

Forty-two-year-old Nicola Costello was arrested Thursday at his Ave Maria home after deputies discovered he had downloaded child pornography via skype.

According to the Collier County Sheriff's office 100 explicit pictures and videos were discovered on Costello's computer showing children engaging in sex acts. His arrest report states many of the children were under the age of 12.

A mother who lives three homes down from Costello was disturbed by the arrest.

"It's nerve wracking especially when I have two girls here,' said Geanie Rivera. "They play outside all the time; even though I am outside with them it makes me feel extremely uncomfortable," she added.

Costello's home is less than 2 miles away from Rhodora J. Donahue Academy High School.

"I feel extremely uncomfortable living next to someone like that," said Rivera.

If Costello is required to register as a sex offender he would be required to live at least 1,000 ft away from his home, which would not affect his current address.

"I don't want him to move back in there," said Rivera. "There's kids everywhere here; there's a school here; there's a park you know, and if he has to register as a sexual offender I don't think he should be allowed to move back in here, "said Rivera.

Rivera told Fox 4 she often sees Costello playing his son. She says her concern is over the children the community, some of whom walk past Costello's home on their way to school.

"He has a disabled son. I've seen him walking him to the bus, the bus comes and picks him up right infront of his home. I would've never, ever would've suspected anything," said Rivera.
