COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- The bodies of an elderly brother and sister were found in a North Naples condo Tuesday, likely a murder a suicide, detectives say.
According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, 85-year-old August Steen Jr. likely shot his 92-year-old sister Edna Jarboe and then shot himself.
A home healthcare worker discovered the bodies around 9 a.m. inside the residence the siblings shared on El Segundo Court in the Village Walk community off Vanderbilt Beach Road.
An official cause of death will be determined after the autopsies are completed by the District Twenty Medical Examiner’s Office.
The deaths are still under investigation.
