FORT MYERS, Fla. - An early morning fire in Fort Myers shut down a part of Fowler Street Friday morning. The closure from Thompson Street to Second Street reopened shortly after 5 a.m.
The Fort Myers Fire Department says the small fire broke out just before 4 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of Fowler Street.
There's no word on the extent of the damage. Several fire trucks were on the scene along with police officers directing traffic.
Firefighters say there were no injuries and the cause is under investigation.
