NAPLES, Fla.- Memorial Day weekend is supposed to be the one of the busiest for Kathy Lopes and her 4 employees at "Love My Dog Resort & Spa" in Naples.
"Memorial Day weekend people travel, they drop their pets off, at a place they trust, and they haven't been able to get a hold of us to check on their dogs," said Lopes.
That's because the phones at her business suddenly stopped working Thursday night. She's had the same number since 2009.
"I have been on the phone with Comcast, in excess of 30 hours in the last 4 days."
During that time emails from concerned customers began piling up, wondering why they couldn't get ahold of the woman watching their dogs.
Kathy boarded about 40 dogs during the long holiday weekend, but says that number is down from this time last year..
"We've lost a lot of revenue, by the phones being down and also possible future business."
Lopes says her bill with Comcast is current, and she wonders whether she'll continue to do business with the telecommunications giant.
"I'm very angry, I'm angry because I'm not getting where I need to be with them."
Lope says a technician came by the business Memorial Day, but could not trouble shoot the problem.
Fox-4 called and emailed Comcast's corporate office, which was closed for the holiday.
