LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A pair of Lee County Sheriff's Office deputies used their ingenuity to wrangle a large alligator that approached a park in Lehigh Acres.
Wednesday, deputies Jennings and Hardin worked together to rope up the 7-foot gator then tape its mouth after it crossed Homestead Road and neared Veterans Park.
It helped that Deputy Jennings had previously worked for Florida Fish and Wildlife.
FWC took custody of the reptile and released it in a safe place.
