NAPLES, Fla. - Deputies are investigating a report in which a teenager told deputies she was approached by a man in a tan minivan as she walking in her neighborhood a little before 5 p.m. Sunday.

The 16-year-old girl told deputies that while walking on 8th Street North toward 91st Avenue North, she was cut off by the man in his minivan, forcing her to walk around to the van’s passenger side. When she got near the passenger side, the man offered to drive her to work. She declined and kept walking.

She told deputies the minivan was older looking and could see it was filled with random junk and boxes.

Detectives said the man is described as a white male, approximately in his 60’s, heavyset with ear-length gray hair and was clean shaven. He was wearing a white and navy baseball cap and a t-shirt that was either white or gray in color with writing. The girl also reported the man had a feminine sounding voice.
