PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - UPDATE - According to The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, the situation is no longer "dangerous" and is now a death investigation as a result of a self inflicted gunshot wound.

The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office is on location of a "dangerous situation" and are asking the public to avoid the area of Flamingo Dr. and US 41 Southbound.
